Syntheses of five and six membered heterocyclic derivatives by the reaction of disubstituted thiocarbamides with interintramolecular cyclizations in catalyst free condition have been reported. The simple product isolation without column, good yields under mild condition, and applicable green matrix are the advantages of present protocol.

Cyclic 1,3-dithia- and 1,3-thiaza-2-ylidene compounds were obtained by the heterogenous reaction of solid potassium carbonate, a sulfur-containing heterocumulene, such as aryl isothiocyanate, carbon disulfide, or carbonyl silfide, and alkylene dibromides or ethylene carbonate in the presence of bis(tributylstannyl) compounds.The effect of an organostannyl catalyst on these reactions is discussed.

A new synthetic route to N-substituted tetrahydro-1,3-thiazine-2-thiones 5 giving good yields for N-aryl compounds is reported.It consists of carbon disulfide cleavage of N,N'-disubstituted 2-iminotetrahydro-1,3-thiazines 3 which leads to 5 and the isothiocyanates 6.
