Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 24963-54-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,4,9,6 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 24963-54:
(7*2)+(6*4)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*3)+(2*5)+(1*4)=130
130 % 10 = 0
So 24963-54-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Binuclear Pd(I)-Pd(I) Catalysis Assisted by Iodide Ligands for Selective Hydroformylation of Alkenes and Alkynes

Zhang, Yang,Torker, Sebastian,Sigrist, Michel,Bregovi?, Nikola,Dydio, Pawe?

, p. 18251 - 18265 (2020/11/02)

Since its discovery in 1938, hydroformylation has been thoroughly investigated and broadly applied in industry (>107 metric ton yearly). However, the ability to precisely control its regioselectivity with well-established Rh- or Co-catalysts has thus far proven elusive, thereby limiting access to many synthetically valuable aldehydes. Pd-catalysts represent an appealing alternative, yet their use remains sparse due to undesired side-processes. Here, we report a highly selective and exceptionally active catalyst system that is driven by a novel activation strategy and features a unique Pd(I)-Pd(I) mechanism, involving an iodide-assisted binuclear step to release the product. This method enables β-selective hydroformylation of a large range of alkenes and alkynes, including sensitive starting materials. Its utility is demonstrated in the synthesis of antiobesity drug Rimonabant and anti-HIV agent PNU-32945. In a broader context, the new mechanistic understanding enables the development of other carbonylation reactions of high importance to chemical industry.

Oxone-mediated facile access to substituted pyrazoles

Kashiwa, Mitsuhiro,Kuwata, Yoshiyuki,Sonoda, Motohiro,Tanimori, Shinji

, p. 304 - 311 (2015/12/30)

An Oxone-mediated transition-metal-free oxidative C-N bond formation has been achieved for the regioselective synthesis of substituted pyrazoles. The reactions accompany the chelation-controlled ortho-oxidation of N-substituted aromatic ring to provide ph

Palladium-catalyzed C-N bond formation: synthesis of 1-aryl-1H-pyrazoles from β-bromovinyl aldehydes and arylhydrazines

Cho, Chan Sik,Patel, Daksha B.

, p. 6388 - 6391 (2007/10/03)

Cyclic and acyclic β-bromovinyl aldehydes are cyclized with an array of arylhydrazines in toluene at 125 °C in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a phosphorus chelating ligand together with NaOtBu to give 1-aryl-1H-pyrazoles in moderate t
