25520-83-6 Usage
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
3'-Fluoro-3'-deoxythymidine Monophosphate is used as an inhibitor for Mycobacterium tuberculosis thymidylate kinase. This application is particularly relevant in the development of new drugs to combat tuberculosis, a disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By inhibiting the thymidylate kinase enzyme, 3'-Fd4TMP can potentially disrupt the bacterium's ability to replicate and grow, thus contributing to the treatment and control of tuberculosis.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 25520-83-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,5,5,2 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 25520-83:
(7*2)+(6*5)+(5*5)+(4*2)+(3*0)+(2*8)+(1*3)=96
96 % 10 = 6
So 25520-83-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and evaluation of thymidine-5′-O-monophosphate analogues as inhibitors of Mycobacterium tuberculosis thymidylate kinase

, p. 2695 - 2698 (2007/10/03)
A number of 2′- and 3′-modified thymidine 5′-O-monophosphate analogues were synthesized as potential leads for new anti-mycobacterial drugs. Evaluation of their affinity for Mycobacterium tuberculosis thymidine monophosphate kinase showed that a 2′-halogeno substituent and a 3′-azido function are the most favorable leads for further development of potent inhibitors of this enzyme.
