Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2825-81-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,8,2 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2825-81:
(6*2)+(5*8)+(4*2)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*1)=92
92 % 10 = 2
So 2825-81-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of Fatty 2-Thiazolines from Fatty Methyl 2,3-Epoxy Ester
Ansari, M. H.,Ahmad, M.S.,Ahmad, M.
, p. 146 - 149 (2007/10/02)
Methyl trans-2,3-epoxyhexadecanoate (I; R'=COOCH3) when refluxed with thioacetamide in DMF affords 5(4)-carbomethoxy-2-methyl-4(5)-tridecyl-2-thiazoline (V) along with three unexpected products, viz. methyl cis-2-hexadecenoate (II), methyl trans-2-hexadecenoate (III) and pentadecan-2-one(IV).Similar reaction of 1 with thiourea gives 2-amino-4-carbomethoxy-5-tridecyl-2-thiazoline (VI) and 2-amino-5-tridecylmethylene-2-thiazolin-4-one (4-thiazolinone) (VII) along with the products II, III and IV.
