Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Research:
FMOC-PHE-OH is used as a building block for synthesizing peptide and protein-based drugs. Its protective group, FMOC, ensures that the amino group is blocked during synthesis, preventing side reactions and facilitating the formation of peptide bonds.
Used in Chemical Industries:
FMOC-PHE-OH is used as a reagent in the synthesis of various chemical compounds. Its protective group allows for controlled reactions, making it a valuable component in the development of new chemical entities.
Used in Peptide Synthesis:
FMOC-PHE-OH is used as a protected amino acid in the stepwise assembly of peptides. The FMOC group protects the amino group, allowing for the selective coupling of amino acids and the formation of the desired peptide sequence. This is crucial for the synthesis of complex peptides and proteins with specific biological activities.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 286460-71-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,8,6,4,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 286460-71:
(8*2)+(7*8)+(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*7)+(1*1)=167
167 % 10 = 7
So 286460-71-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Rapid and sensitive LC-MS approach to quantify non-radioactive transition metal impurities in metal radionuclides
Zeng, Dexing,Anderson, Carolyn J.
supporting information, p. 2697 - 2699 (2013/05/08)
A rapid and sensitive LC-MS approach for the quantification of non-radioactive metal contaminants present in metal radionuclide formulations was developed. Traditional 12C/1H and heavy stable isotope 13C/2H-labeled chelator-amino acid conjugates are used as chelating agents to quantify contaminating transition metals, allowing for determination of effective specific activity of radio-metals.
