This paper reports for the first time the FT-Raman and FTIR spectra of the (E) and (Z) isomers of the photoinitiator 1-phenyl-2-(0-benzoyloxime)-1,2-propandione. The methods employed for the determination of the configurational and conformational structures of these O-acyl-x-oxooximes is discussed.
