pH-dependent luminescence of ruthenium(II) polypyridine complexes
Jing, Bingwen,Wu, Tao,Tian, Chunhong,Zhang, Manhua,Shen, Tao
, p. 1749 - 1755 (2000)
The changes in the absorption and emission of three new complexes, [Ru(bpy)2L]2+(1 - 3), upon a pH variation are considered and the mechanism of the changes is discussed. The luminescence quantum yields of complexes 2 and 3 are strongly influenced by the pH due to intramolecular photoinduced electron transfer, which depends on the pH of the environment.

Jing, Bingwen,Song, Aimin,Zhang, Manhua,Shen, Tao
, p. 789 - 790 (2007/10/03)
The luminescence quantum yield of Ru(bpy)2L2+ complexes where L are imidazo[f]1,10-phenanthrolines is strongly controlled by pH due to intramolecular photoinduced electron transfer.
