Paragraph 0013; 0014; 0015; 0025; 0026; 0027, (2018/06/15)
The invention discloses a method for preparing primary amide from olefin, carbon monoxide and ammonia gas. According to the method, olefin, carbon monoxide and ammonia gas are used as raw materials for preparation of primary amide under the action of a catalyst composed of phosphine ligand and a rhodium compound; the used phosphine ligand can guarantee that the rhodium compound uses as the catalyst effectively catalyzes carboamidation of olefin, so high-yield production of primary amide can be realized; and the phosphine ligand also contains N-heteroatoms or/and O-heteroatoms or/and S-heteroatoms. The method is a one-pot synthetic method and is simple in synthesis steps; high yield of primary amide is realized in preparation of primary amide from olefin, carbon monoxide and ammonia gas through carboamidation under the action of the catalyst composed of the phosphine ligand and the rhodium compound; and the catalyst has good catalysis performance and stable service life.

Combination of transition metal catalysis with organocatalysis in ways of synergetic catalysis, cooperative catalysis, or/and sequential catalysis has been emerged as a powerful strategy to promote organic transformations that cannot be achieved by each individual independently. Herein, a new protocol for the synthesis of primary amides from olefins, CO and NH3 through one-pot tandem methoxycarbonylation-aminolys was presented over a bi-functional ligand (L1) based rhodium catalyst with functions of co-catalysis. L1 is composed of the phosphino-fragment and the amino-/imino- tautomeric moiety. Then L1-based Rh-catalytic system demonstrated a combination of Rh-P transition metal catalysis and the tautomeric catalysis. In this tandem methoxycarbonylation-aminolysis, NH3 also served as a ligand to work together with the phosphino-fragment to synergetically modify the performance of Rh-catalyst responsible for the first-step methoxycarbonylation of olefin to generate the esters, and the Rh-tailed tautomeric catalyst was in charge of the subsequent aminolysis to generate the targeted primary amides.

Three Pd(II) complexes of some hemilabile ligands, aminothiazole-based phosphines, were synthesized to investigate the catalytic activity of them in Heck cross-coupling reactions. The crystal structures of complexes PdCl2[(Ph2P)HN(C3H2NS)] (C1) and PdCl2[(Ph2P)HN(C7H4NS)] (C3) were determined using X-ray crystallography, which reveals that the ligand coordinates in a chelating mode through P and N (endocyclic) atoms in square planar geometry. Experimental and theoretical studies (atoms in molecules and natural bond orbital analyses) show that the Pd(II) interacts more strongly with the P atom than the N atom in the chelated ligand, N^P. This trait can promote catalytic activity of the complexes in comparison with our previous work in which chelated ligands with two phosphorus atoms, P^P, were used. The influence of non-covalent intermolecular interactions on the assembly of the solid-state structures is also discussed in terms of geometrical analysis. The prepared complexes turn out to be useful pre-catalysts in Heck cross-coupling reactions owing to the coordinative flexibility of the hemilabile ligands. The protocol affords the corresponding products in greater yield than the same reactions with bis(phosphino)amine Pd(II) complexes, as the catalysts in our previous work.

Phosphino-amino-thiazolines and -thiazoles can exist in solution in two tautomeric forms, in which the N-H proton involves the endo-cyclic or exo-cyclic nitrogen atom. The two tautomers show different reactivities toward alcoholysis; the imino form degrades more rapidly. Their bischelated platinum complexes were studied in the solid state by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Thus, the unique stereo electronic features of the [Pt(PNth)] (PNth = diphenylposphino-aminothiazoline) moiety were revealed. The complex cis-[Pt(PNth)2] reacts with gold(I) salts to yield dimetallic compounds, the molecular structures of which have been determined by X-ray diffraction. Solid cis-[Pt(PNth)2] shows vapoluminescent properties if exposed to alcohol vapors. A combined photophysical and crystallographic investigation has been carried out to clarify the unprecedented rigidochromic role of the alcohol in this phenomenon.
