Carbamic acid, [2-[[(1-methylethylidene)amino]oxy]-2-oxoethyl]-, phenylmethyl ester, also known as phenmedipham, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C11H14N2O4. It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water and has a molecular weight of 242.24 g/mol. Phenmedipham is a selective herbicide used in agriculture to control broadleaf weeds and grasses in various crops, such as fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. It works by inhibiting the enzyme hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase, which is essential for the synthesis of certain amino acids in plants, ultimately leading to the disruption of their growth and development. The chemical structure of phenmedipham consists of a carbamic acid backbone with a phenylmethyl ester group attached to it, making it a phenylcarbamate derivative. Due to its selective nature and effectiveness, phenmedipham is widely used in modern agriculture to protect crops from weed competition and improve overall yield.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3065-09-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,0,6 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3065-09:
(6*3)+(5*0)+(4*6)+(3*5)+(2*0)+(1*9)=66
66 % 10 = 6
So 3065-09-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Selective aminoacylation of nucleosides through an enzymatic reaction with oxime aminoacyl esters

Moris, Francisco,Gotor, Vicente

, p. 6927 - 6934 (1994)

N-protected aminoacyl acetoxime esters are useful agents for enzymatic aminoacylation of 2'-deoxy- and ribo-nucleosides. In both cases, 5'-O- derivatives can be prepared if the lipase used is SP 435 (from Candida antarctica) whereas 3'-O-isomers from 2'-deoxynucleosides are obtained with Pseudomonas cepacia.
