Amidinourea nitrate, also known as guanidinium nitrate, is a chemical compound with the formula C2H7N4O2. It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water and is commonly used as a nitrogen-rich fertilizer and a component in some types of explosives. The compound is formed by the reaction of amidinourea with nitric acid, resulting in a product that contains both the amidinourea and nitrate functional groups. Amidinourea nitrate is known for its high nitrogen content, which makes it valuable in agricultural applications, and its potential use in the production of energetic materials due to its explosive properties.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 31516-52-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,1,5,1 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 31516-52:
(7*3)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*6)+(2*5)+(1*2)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 31516-52-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The preparation and characterization of guanylurea nitrate and perchlorate salts

Klapoetke, Thomas M.,Sabate, Carles Miro

, p. 301 - 306 (2008)

Guanylurea nitrate (GUN) and guanylurea Perchlorate (GUP) were prepared from cyanoguanidine (CG) and concentrated nitric or perchloric acid, respectively. Both compounds were fully characterized by analytical and spectroscopic methods. Crystals of GUP were grown from water, and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. GUP crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with four molecules in the unit cell; different unit cell parameters are a = 8.0115(2) A, b=9.7328(2) A, c = 9.5770(2) A, and β = 105.89(1)°. The heats of combustion of both compounds were determined using oxygen bomb calorimetry. Finally, the EXPLO5 computer code was used to determine the detonation velocity (D = 5734 m s-1) and pressure (P = 10.6 GPa) of GUN as well as those of formulations with ammonium nitrate and dinitramide.

A new procedure to obtain ?-caprolactam catalyzed by a guanidinium salt

Fernández-Stefanuto,Verdía,Tojo

supporting information, p. 12830 - 12834 (2017/11/06)

A new procedure to prepare ?-caprolactam by the Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime is described. Treatment of the oxime with the novel salt cyanoguanidinium tosylate affords ?-caprolactam without the need of any other promoter.
