Divinyl maleate, also known as divinyl fumarate, is a chemical compound with the formula C8H8O4. It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in water and organic solvents. divinyl maleate is a type of divinyl monomer, which is used in the production of polymers and copolymers due to its ability to cross-link and form three-dimensional networks. Divinyl maleate is particularly useful in the synthesis of resins, adhesives, and coatings, as well as in the modification of polymers to improve their mechanical properties and chemical resistance. Its applications span across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and construction, where high-performance materials are required.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3234-32-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,2,3 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3234-32:
(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*3)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*2)=60
60 % 10 = 0
So 3234-32-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis, initiation, and polymerization of photoinitiating monomers

Lee, Tai Yeon,Guymon, C. Allan,Jonsson, E. Sonny,Hait, Sukhendu,Hoyle, Charles E.

, p. 7529 - 7531 (2005)

The synthesis, photoinitiation and copolymerization of a series of monomers that efficiently photoinitiate free-radical polymerization was investigated. A number of monomer systems were examined as possible photoinduced initiating monomers. The rapid copolymerization of the monomers with an electron-rich vinyl ether demonstrated the potential of vinyl ester-based initiating monomers for use in a wide variety of polymerization processes. It was concluded that the initiating monomers can provide an opportunity for applications where residual photoinitiating species are undesireable in the final cured films.
