Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 328074-30-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,2,8,0,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 328074-30:
(8*3)+(7*2)+(6*8)+(5*0)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*0)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 328074-30-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Preparation, characterization and kinetics of formation of some Schiff base chelates of Sn(II) and UO2(VI)

Erk, Birgul,Dilmac, Abdulrezzak,Baran, Yakup,Balaban, Ayla

, p. 1929 - 1938 (2000)

The synthesis, characterization and formation kinetics of Sn(II) and UO2(VI) complexes of the nitrogen and oxygen donor ligands m-chlorophenylsalicylaldimine (Hcps), m-nitrophenylsalicylaldimine (Hnps), m-methoxyphenylsalicylaldimine (Hmps) and m-methylphenylsalicylaldimine (Hmsa) are reported. The structures of the free ligands and their Sn(II) and UO2(VI) complexes were determined by NMR, elemental analyses, IR and UV-Vis studies and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Under pseudo-first order conditions, having an excess of the Schiff base present, the kinetics of complex formation of Sn(II) and UO2(VI) with a series of Schiff bases was studied spectrophotometrically using the stopped-flow technique in methanol as solvent. The activation parameters ΔH# and ΔS# for the formation reactions of the complexes studied in methanol are almost identical which supports the assumption that the reactions have a common mechanism. The reactions are considered to proceed through an associative mechanism.
