Triphenyldibromoarsorane, also known as (C6H5)3AsBr2, is an organoarsenic compound characterized by its molecular structure, which consists of an arsenic atom bonded to three phenyl rings and two bromine atoms. triphenyldibromoarsorane is a derivative of arsorane, a class of compounds that contain arsenic and hydrogen. Triphenyldibromoarsorane is typically synthesized through the reaction of arsine (AsH3) with bromine and phenylmagnesium bromide. It is an important intermediate in the synthesis of various organoarsenic compounds and has potential applications in the fields of materials science, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. Due to its reactivity and potential toxicity, handling and storage of triphenyldibromoarsorane require appropriate safety measures and precautions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3313-89-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,3,1 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3313-89:
(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*3)+(2*8)+(1*9)=71
71 % 10 = 1
So 3313-89-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Facile and specific cleavage of metal-carbon bond(s) has been found to occur when pentaphenyl-arsenic or-antimony derivatives are treated with halogens (Br2, I2) and inter-halogens (ICl, IBr) under controlled conditions.

Synthesis and Some Reactions of Triaryl-phosphorus, -arsenic and -antimony Diamides

Raj, Prem,Ranjan, Ashok,Saxena, A. K.

, p. 120 - 123 (2007/10/02)

Several hitherto unreported pentacoordinated triarylphosphorus, -arsenic and -antimony diamides, Ar3M(NR2)2 (Ar=phenyl, p-tolyl; HNR2=succinimide, phthalimide, imidazole, benzimidazole, rhodanine, tetrahydrocarbazole, isatin and benzotriazole) have been synthesized by metathetical reactions under mild conditions. The products have been characterised on the basis of analytical, IR, conductance and molecular weight data. The non-ionic nature of the compounds has been established by conductance and molecular weight measurements.M-N bonds (M=As and Sb) are cleaved in preference to M-C bonds by IBr, Br2, HgBr2 and TeCl4.However, these amides remain unaffected in the presence of MeOH.In contrast to its reaction with Sb-N bonds, CS2 gets inserted between As-N bonds.Preparation of representative tetraphenylstibonium amides Ph4SbNR2 (NR2=succinimide and phthalimide) is also reported.
