Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 333310-33-1 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,3,3,3,1 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 333310-33:
(8*3)+(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*0)+(2*3)+(1*3)=91
91 % 10 = 1
So 333310-33-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Tandem dienyne cross-metathesis/ring-closing metathesis

Tandem enyne cross-metathesis/ring-closing metathesis between terminal alkynes and 1,5-hexadiene has been demonstrated using the 1,3-dimesityl-4,5-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene-substituted ruthenium benzylidene complex. Synthesis of 2-substituted 1,3-cyclohex

Synthesis of 1,3-cyclohexadienes by tandem diene-alkyne metathesis: Improved procedure

Middleton, Mark D.,Diver, Steven T.

, p. 4039 - 4043 (2007/10/03)

A practical synthesis of 2-substituted 1,3-cyclohexadienes by the cross enyne metathesis between alkynes and 1,5-hexadiene is reported. The isolation of the 1,3-cyclohexadienes has been hampered by the formation of an inseparable triene by-product. The use of a second consecutive cross alkene metathesis to give water-soluble products allowed removal of this by-product. Using this one-pot procedure, a synthesis of cyclohexadienes from simple starting materials was developed. The procedure was used in a three-step synthesis of a functionalized tetrahydroquinoline using Pd(II)-catalyzed chloroacetoxylation (B?ckvall reaction) for cyclohexadiene functionalization.
