1,1'-Oxybis[4-nitro-2-trifluoromethylbenzene], also known as OTNB, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C14H7F6N3O4. It is a nitroaromatic compound that is commonly used as a precursor in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, electronic materials, and agrochemicals. OTNB is a yellow crystalline solid and is highly soluble in organic solvents such as acetone and dichloromethane. It is a strong oxidizing agent and can react violently with reducing agents.
