SPECIFIC DEAMINATION OF 4-AMINO-1,2,4-TRIAZIN-5(4H)-ONES BY CATALYTIC OXIDATION WITH t-BUTYLHYDROPEROXIDE. A CHEMICAL MODEL FOR METABOLISM OF 1,2,4-TRIAZINE HERBICIDES
Nakayama, Y.,Sanemitsu, Y.,Yoshioka, H.,Nishinaga, A.
, p. 2499 - 2500 (1982)
The oxidation of 4-amino-1,2,4-triazine herbicides (1) with t-butylhydroperoxide catalyzed by Co(Salen) resulted in the specific deamination of the 4-amino group, providing a chemical model for the metabolism of the herbicides.

The biomimetic oxidation of metribuzin, a pre- and post-emergence herbicide with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by 5,10,15,20-tetraarylporphyrinatoiron(III) chlorides [TAPFe(III)Cl], has been studied yielding 6-t-butyl-3-methylthio-1,2,4-triazine-5(4H)-one, 4-amino-6-t-butyl-3,5(2H,4H)-dione and 6-t-butyl-1,2,4-triazin-3,5(2H,4H)-dione under various reaction conditions.
A Contribution to the Photoinduced Desamination of 1,2,4-Triazinones
Herrmann, M.,Parlar, H.,Korte, F.
, p. 117 - 118 (2007/10/02)
Solution-phase photoreactions of 4-amino-substituted 1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-ones (1a-j) in different solvents using UV light with wavelengths greater than 290 nm have been investigated. The results show, that the desamination reaction is influenced by both oxygen and water. The photoexperiments showed clearly that OOH-radicals take part in the first step of reaction. - Key words: Photochemical Reactivity, Desamination, 1,2,4-Triazin-5(4H)-ones
