Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
DINOPROST ETHANOLAMIDE is used as a potential intraocular hypotensive agent for the treatment of glaucoma. Its potent dilating effect on the cat iris sphincter makes it a promising candidate for reducing intraocular pressure.
Used in Research Applications:
DINOPROST ETHANOLAMIDE is used as a research tool to study the metabolism of endogenous cannabinoids and the production of ethanolamide congeners of classical prostaglandins. This helps in understanding the role of these bioactive lipids in various physiological and pathological processes.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 353787-70-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,5,3,7,8 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 353787-70:
(8*3)+(7*5)+(6*3)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*7)+(2*7)+(1*0)=179
179 % 10 = 9
So 353787-70-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

9,11-cycloendoperoxide pro-drugs of prostaglandin analogues for treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma
-
Page/Page column 11-12, (2010/11/30)
9,11-Cycloendoperoxide derivatives of biologically active prostaglandin analogs, and particularly of the ocular hypotensive drugs Bimatoprost, Latanaprost, Unoprostone, Travoprost and prostaglandin H2 1-ethanolamide or of structurally closely related analogs, are pro-drugs which hydrolyze under physiological conditions to provide prostaglandin analogues that are capable of providing sustained ocular and other in vivo concentrations of the respective drugs. The compounds of the invention have the formula shown below where the variables have the meaning defined in the specification.
