It is a derivative of ethanamine, where all hydrogen atoms are replaced by fluorine atoms, except for one hydrogen atom attached to the nitrogen. heptafluoroethanamine is primarily used as a blowing agent in the production of foams and as a refrigerant in various industrial applications.
