Inorganic-organic hybrid compounds exhibiting both magnetic order and non-linear optical properties
Ramakrishna Matte,Cheetham,Rao
, p. 908 - 910 (2009)
Hybrid organic-inorganic framework compounds constitute an important class of materials whose properties, especially paired ones, have not been adequately investigated hitherto. In this communication, we report the non-linear optical properties of hybrid

Three novel coordination complexes [Mn(tpha)(phen)]n (1); [Mn(na)2(H2O)2]n (2); {[Mn(phen)2(OH)Cl] · Cl · (OH) · (C9H11NO2) · 2H2O} (3) have been

Three MnII-terephthalate coordination polymers, {MnII(tp)(bpy)(H2O)}n (1), {Mn3II (tp)6 / 2 (bpy)2 · (dmf)}n (2) and {MnII(tp)(phen)}n (3) (tp = terephthalic dianion, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies and low temperature (2-300 K) magnetic measurements. The structure analysis of 1-3 show that they all are coordination polymers composed of Mn atoms as nodes and terephthalate dianions as spacers. Interestingly, compound 1 consists of 1D infinite zigzag chains, while compound 2 consists of 2D sheets and compound 3 has a 3D framework structure. The study of the temperature dependent magnetic susceptibilities revealed that all of the polymers show antiferromagnetism.
Hydrothermal syntheses, structures and properties of terephthalate-bridged polymeric complexes with zig-zag chain and channel structures

Hydrothermal reactions of 1,4-dicyanobenzene, phen and M(OAc)2 (M = Co, Zn) or MCl2 (M = Cu, Mn, Cd) gave rise to the hydrolysis of 1,4-dicyanobenzene into terephthalic acid and the formation of five polymeric complexes [M(ta)(phen)(
