2,6-Dichloro-3-methyl-4-nitrophenol is an intermediate in the synthesis of 3,5-Dichloro-2-methyl-benzoquinone (D435355). 3,5-Dichloro-2-methyl-benzoquinone is used in biological studies to evaluate the cytotoxicity and oxidative damage induced by halobenzoquinones to T24 bladder cancer cells.
