Polymeric malondialdehyde dianils - A novel type of electrically conducting polymers
Gompper, Rudolf,Mueller, Thomas J. J.,Polborn, Kurt
, p. 2011 - 2018 (1998)
The reaction of vinamidinium salts with para-substituted aromatic diamines gives rise to polymeric 2-aryl malonaldehyde dianils in good yields. Polymeric cyanines can be obtained from tetramethoxypropane and a pentamethine cyanine, respectively, and para-substituted aromatic diamines. The degree of polymerisation Pn (n=10-40) was estimated by measuring the intrinsic viscosity η. The polymers show high electrical powder conductivities (σ=0.03-50 S cm-1) after doping with iodine or FeCl3.
Syntheses and Properties of Mono- and Disubstituted Monothio-β-dicarbonyl Compounds and their Nickel(II)chelates

, p. 292 - 298 (2007/10/02)
Reaction of phenylacetaldehyde with phosphorous oxichloride and dimethylformamide yielded 3-chloro-2-phenyl-propenal, which was converted into 2-phenyl-monothiomalonic dialdehyde 2 by treating with sodium sulfide nonahydrate.Furthermore the reactions of o
