The chemical "2-fluoronaphthalene - picric acid complex" refers to a compound formed by the interaction between 2-fluoronaphthalene, a halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon, and picric acid, a trinitrophenol derivative. This complex is characterized by the formation of a charge-transfer complex, where 2-fluoronaphthalene acts as an electron donor and picric acid as an electron acceptor. The resulting complex exhibits unique properties, such as enhanced solubility and stability, which can be exploited in various applications, including the synthesis of new materials and the study of molecular interactions. The complex formation is driven by the complementary electronic properties of the two components, leading to a stable association that can be influenced by factors such as temperature, concentration, and solvent polarity.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 396-26-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 3,9 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 396-26:
(5*3)+(4*9)+(3*6)+(2*2)+(1*6)=79
79 % 10 = 9
So 396-26-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A Computerised Least Square Method for Determination of Stability Constants of 1:1 Molecular Complexes and Chemical Shift of Pure Complexes from Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Data

Seal, B. K.,Mukherjee, A. K.

, p. 413 - 415 (2007/10/02)

A computerised method utilising nuclear magnetic resonance data has been developed for the determination of stability constants of 1:1 molecular complexes. It is based on the principle of least squares in which the coefficients are adjusted under a constraint with the help of Lagrange's method of undetermined multipliers. The method utilises the complete expression for equilibrium constant and is mathematically rigorous, straightforward, non-iterative and requires very little computer time.
