The synthesis and reactivity towards isonitriles of (2-aminoaryl)palladium(II) complexes were studied. The NMR spectra of the complexes was found in agreement with the proposed structures. The structure of the cation of 9a·CH2Cl2 showed an iodine atom bridging two palladium centres, with every palladium atom bonded to both a terminal isonitrile and a chelating ligand.
