Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 40947-69-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 4,0,9,4 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 40947-69:
(7*4)+(6*0)+(5*9)+(4*4)+(3*7)+(2*6)+(1*9)=131
131 % 10 = 1
So 40947-69-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

DYE FOR ANISOTROPIC DYE FILM, DYE COMPOSITION FOR ANISOTROPIC DYE FILM, ANISOTROPIC DYE FILM AND POLARIZING DEVICE

-

Page/Page column 41, (2008/06/13)

An anisotropic dye film having high dichromatic properties is provided. An anisotropic dye film wherein the period d attributable to molecular stacking is at most 3.445 ?, and the column length L thereof is at least 105 ?. The anisotropic dye film preferably has a degree of orientation of the molecular stacking axes of at least 85% and a film thickness of at most 30 μm, and is formed by a wet film-forming method. Since it has a molecular alignment suitable to develop a dichroic ratio, it provides high dichromatic properties. A polarizing element having this anisotropic dye film is excellent in heat resistance, light fastness and polarizing performance.

COORDINATING ACID AZO DYES AND DIRECT DYES DERIVED FROM 8-HYDROXYQUINOLINE

Sebe, Ion,Tarabasanu-Mihaila, Cornel

, p. 275 - 286 (2007/10/03)

The paper describes the synthesis of some complexable acid azo dyes and of some direct dyes derived from 8-hydroxyquinoline.The structure of the resulted dyes has been checked with the help of elemental analysis, of vibration IR spectra in KBr pallete and of electronic spectra in aqueous solution. The acid dyes have been applied on wool and the direct dyes on cotton. The obtained dyeings have been treated with chromium and copper salts, respectively, in order to obtain the complexes of the dyestuff on the fiber and to improve in this way their fastness to wet treatments and to light. After coppered and after chromed dyeings, they possess excellent tinctorial qualities.
