General Description
Behenyl palmitate is a chemical compound that is commonly used in skincare products and cosmetics as an emollient and thickening agent. It is a combination of behenic acid, which is derived from rapeseed oil or peanut oil, and palmitic acid, which is found in palm oil. BEHENYL PALMITATE has moisturizing properties that help to hydrate and soften the skin. It also helps to improve the texture and consistency of cosmetics, making them easier to apply and spread. Additionally, Behenyl palmitate is known for its non-comedogenic properties, meaning it is less likely to clog pores and cause acne, making it suitable for use in products for sensitive and acne-prone skin. Overall, Behenyl palmitate is a versatile and beneficial ingredient in skincare and cosmetic products.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 42232-33-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 4,2,2,3 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 42232-33:
(7*4)+(6*2)+(5*2)+(4*3)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*3)=77
77 % 10 = 7
So 42232-33-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Liquid-liquid biphasic synthesis of long chain wax esters using the Lewis acidic ionic liquid choline chloride·2ZnCl2
Sunitha, Sadula,Kanjilal, Sanjit,Reddy, P. Srinivasa,Prasad, Rachapudi B.N.
, p. 6962 - 6965 (2007)
The first liquid-liquid biphasic synthesis of wax esters in a Lewis acidic ionic liquid, choline chloride·2ZnCl2 by the esterification of long chain carboxylic acids with long chain alcohols is described. The reported reaction system has the advantages of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis with high product yield and the ease of product as well as catalyst separation without the use of an organic solvent. The ionic liquid studied plays the dual role of solvent as well as catalyst and is recycled up to six times without any significant loss of activity.
