General Description

3-(3,5-DINITROPHENYL)PROPIONIC ACID, also known as DNPPA, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C9H8N2O6. It is a yellow crystalline solid that is insoluble in water and has a high melting point. DNPPA is used in the production of organic pigments and dyes and as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It is also used as a reagent in the detection of amino acids and proteins. DNPPA is a potentially hazardous chemical and should be handled with care, as it is toxic if ingested, inhaled, or comes into contact with the skin.
