Reaction of Carbon Disulphide with 4-Amino-5-cyano-1-aryl-6-oxopyridazin-3-hydrazide: Synthesis of Thiazole and their Fused Derivatives

The reaction of pyridazine derivatives 1a-c with carbon disulphide followed by heterocyclization with a halo carbonyl compounds 3, 13 and 23 gave the thiazolidene derivatives 5a-c, 15a-c and 24a-c respectively. The reactions of the latter products toward chemical reagents were studied.
