1-(2-methylphenyl)-2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carbonitrile is a complex organic compound with the molecular formula C11H9N3O2. It is a derivative of pyrimidine, a heterocyclic aromatic organic compound consisting of a six-membered ring, with four carbon atoms and two nitrogen atoms. In this specific compound, the pyrimidine ring is partially saturated, making it a tetrahydropyrimidine. The molecule features a 2-methylphenyl group attached to the nitrogen atom at position 1, and a carbonitrile group (-CN) at position 5. The 2,4-dioxo part of the name indicates the presence of two oxygen atoms double-bonded to carbon atoms at positions 2 and 4 of the pyrimidine ring. 1-(2-methylphenyl)-2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carbonitrile has potential applications in pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals due to its unique structure and properties.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 4765-36-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 4,7,6 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 4765-36:
(6*4)+(5*7)+(4*6)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*6)=110
110 % 10 = 0
So 4765-36-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Page/Page column 13, (2009/12/02)

The invention relates to organic compounds which have interesting pharmaceutical properties. In particular, the compounds are useful in the treatment and/or prevention of infections such as those caused by Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium malariae, Plasmodium ovale, Trypanosoma cruzi and parasites of the Leishmania genus such as, for example, Leishmania donovani. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds, as well as processes for their preparation.

Antihypertensive indole derivatives of phenoxypropanolamines with β-adrenergic receptor antagonist and vasodilating activity

Kreighbaum,Matier,Dennis,Minielli,Deitchman,Perhach Jr.,Comer

, p. 285 - 289 (2007/10/02)

A series of 25 aryloxypropanolamines containing the 3-indolyl-tert-butyl[i.e., 1,1-dimethyl-2-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl] or substituted 3-indolyl-tert-butyl moiety as the N substituent is reported. These compounds have been tested for antihypertensive activity in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR), β-adrenergic receptor antagonist action in conscious normotensive rats, vasodilating activity in ganglion-blocked rats with blood pressure maintained by angiotensin II infusion, and for intrinsic sympathomimetic action (ISA) in reserpinized rats. Some of the compounds exhibit antihypertensive activity in combination with β-adrenergic receptor antagonist and vasodilating action. The structure-activity relationships in these tests are discussed.
