Uses

Used in Agricultural Industry:
Karbutilate is used as an insecticide for controlling a wide range of insects in various crops.
It is used to inhibit the activity of the acetylcholinesterase enzyme in insects, leading to the accumulation of acetylcholine and subsequent overstimulation of the nervous system, which causes paralysis and death in the insects. This helps protect crops from insect damage and contributes to increased agricultural productivity.

Herbicidal composition for upland farming and weeding method

A herbicidal composition for upland farming which can control weeds that have been difficult to control, for example, cleavers, chickweed, birdseye speedwell and violet, said composition containing as active ingredients a 3-substituted phenylpyrazole derivative represented by the general formula (I): STR1 (wherein R is a hydrogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group, a C3-6 cycloalkyl group, a C1-6 haloalkyl group, a C2-6 alkenyl group or a C2-6 alkynyl group, R1 is a C1-6 alkyl group, X1 and X2, which may be the same or different, are halogen atoms, and Y is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of sulfonylurea derivatives, phenylurea derivatives and phenoxy fatty acid derivatives; and a weeding method using said composition.

Synergistic herbicidal compositions

Synergistic herbicidal activity is displayed by compositions comprising the following two components: (a) a pyrrolidone of the formula STR1 in which X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine and methyl; Y is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine and bromine; Z is selected from the group consisting of chlorine and bromine; R1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1 -C4 alkyl; R2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, C1 -C4 alkyl, acetyl, trifluoromethyl, nitro, cyano, C1 -C4 alkoxy, C1 -C4 alkylthio, C1 -C4 alkylsulfinyl, C1 -C4 alkylsulfonyl, trifluoromethylthio, trifluoromethylsulfinyl, trifluoromethylsulfonyl, pentafluoropropionamido, and 3-methylureido; and R3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C1 -C4 alkyl, chlorine and trifluoromethyl; and (b) a m-ureidophenyl carbamate of the formula STR2 in which R4 is C1 -C4 alkyl; R5 is C1 -C4 alkyl; and R6 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1 -C4 alkyl, 1t a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of from about 0.1: to about 50:1.
