The method of manufacturing the ionic liquid

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially simple method for producing an ionic liquid capable of giving combinations of various cations and anions.SOLUTION: The method for producing an ionic liquid includes a step of reacting an ammonium salt of a sulfuric ester (1), an ammonium salt of a phosphoric ester (2) or an ammonium salt of a sulfonic acid with a nitrogen-containing compound. In formula (1), Rindicates a 1C-20C substituted or unsubstituted, straight-chained, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a 6C-30C substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a 7C-31C substituted or unsubstituted arylalkyl group; Aindicates a 2C-4C substituted or unsubstituted, straight-chained or branched alkylene group; and n indicates an integer of 0-50. STABLE SOLUTIONS OF RARE EARTH TRIS (ORGANOPHOSPHORUS-DERIVATIVES)

Stable rare earth tris (organophosphate) solutions comprise a rare earth tris (organophosphate) and a hydrocarbon solvent. From about 2 % to about 10 % rare earth element, preferably from about 3 % to about 8 %, is present in the solutions. The rare earth tris (organophosphate) solutions are stable from precipitation of the rare earth tris (organophosphate) for at least about fifteen (15) days, preferably for at least about twenty (20) days and most preferably at least about thirty (30) days. A process for preparing these solutions is described herein. A stabilizing additive, acid, glycol or mixtures thereof, is utilized to inhibit precipitation. The molar ratios of free acid, glycol and/or water to the rare earth element are controlled to inhibit precipitation.
