The invention discloses a synthesis method of 1-(2,4,6-triisopropyl phenyl sulfonyl) imidazole, and relates to the technical field of electrolyte additives. ,The synthesis method of the 1-(2,4,6-triisopropyl phenyl sulfonyl) imidazole comprises the following synthesis steps: step 1, adding imidazole, triethylamine and an organic solvent A into a reaction container provided with a stirrer and a thermometer at a temperature of 0-50 DEG C, starting stirring after the addition is finished to obtain a mixed solution B, dropwise adding a mixed solution C containing 2,4,6-triisopropyl benzene sulfonyl chloride into the mixed solution B and performing reaction for 2-6 hours after dropwise adding to obtain a reaction solution D. According to the present invention, with the improvement of the synthesis method, the yield of the 1-(2,4,6-triisopropyl phenyl sulfonyl) imidazole can be effectively improved, and the purity of the 1-(2,4,6-triisopropyl phenyl sulfonyl) imidazole can be improved so as to reduce the cost of the production and the subsequent application of the 1-(2,4,6-triisopropyl phenyl sulfonyl) imidazole.
