Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5029-36-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,0,2 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5029-36:
(6*5)+(5*0)+(4*2)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*6)=77
77 % 10 = 7
So 5029-36-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

TETRALITHIUM DERIVATIVES OF 1,4-DINITRO COMPOUNDS

Double deprotonation at each reaction center in the dinitro compound 1,4-dinitrobutane and 1,4-dinitro-2-butane was investigated. On the basis of the structure of the bromination products it was shown that tetralithium derivatives are formed almost quantitatively in the first case and to a small degree in the second. The formation of the tetrabromide of dinitrobutane makes it possible to propose the halogenation reaction as a chemical method for the capture of the highly reactive products (intermediates) in double deprotonation.
