Bis(NHC)-palladium(II) complex-catalyzed dioxygenation of alkenes
Wang, Wenfeng,Wang, Feijun,Shi, Min
experimental part, p. 928 - 933 (2010/05/01)
Bis(NHC)-Pd(II) complexes derived from l,l'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diamine (BINAM) were successfully first used to catalyze the dioxygenation of alkenes under mild conditions tolerant of air and moisture. Cationic NHC-Pd2+ diaquo complex 1e showed the highest catalytic activity to give 1,2dioxygenation products with good syn-diastereoselectivity for 1,2-disubstituted alkenes.
REACTION OF PHTHALIMIDONITRENE WITH p-METHOXYSTYRENE
Belov, V. N.,Kuznetsov, M. A.
, p. 1160 - 1163 (2007/10/02)
The addition of phthalimidonitrene, generated during the thermolysis of S,S-dimethyl-N-phthalimidosulfimide, to p-methoxystyrene leads to the unstable 2-p-methoxyphenyl-1-phthalimidoaziridine.With oxidative generation of the nitrene by the action of lead tetraacetate on N-aminophthalimide it is only possible to isolate the products from the opening of the three-membered ring by acetic acid, i.e., 1-p-methoxyphenyl-2-(2,2-phthaloylhydrazino)ethyl acetate and the 1,1-phthaloylhydrazone of 2-oxo-1-p-methoxyphenylethyl acetate produced during its oxidation.
ADDITION OF PHTHALIMIDONITRENE TO RING-SUBSTITUTED STYRENES
Kuznetsov, M. A.,Belov, V. N.
, p. 1611 - 1616 (2007/10/02)
The addition of phthalimidonitrene to 9-ring-substituted styrenes gives 30-70percent yields of the corresponding previously undescribed 2-aryl-1-phthalimidoaziridines.By the method of competing reactions it was shown that phthalimidonitrene exhibits elect
