Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 527681-61-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 5,2,7,6,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 527681-61:
(8*5)+(7*2)+(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*1)=174
174 % 10 = 4
So 527681-61-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

This Letter describes the synthetic routes to challenging pyridyl analogues of 2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodioxin- 6-carbaldehyde which were key intermediates for our antibacterial medicinal chemistry programme. All routes described started from kojic acid (8) and have been used to give multigram quantities of each aldehyde.
