(4-hydroxy-phenyl)-carbamic acid propyl ester, also known as propyl 4-hydroxyphenylcarbamate, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H13NO3. It is a derivative of carbamic acid, where the phenol group is attached to the carbamic acid through an ester linkage. (4-hydroxy-phenyl)-carbamic acid propyl ester is characterized by its ability to form esters with alcohols, in this case, propanol. It is a white crystalline solid and is used in various applications, including as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. The compound is also known for its potential antioxidant properties, which can be beneficial in stabilizing products against oxidative degradation.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 54840-13-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,4,8,4 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 54840-13:
(7*5)+(6*4)+(5*8)+(4*4)+(3*0)+(2*1)+(1*3)=120
120 % 10 = 0
So 54840-13-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and structure-activity relationships of new β-adrenoreceptor antagonists. Evidence for the electrostatic requirements for β-adrenoreceptor antagonists

Kettmann,Csollei,Racanska,Svec

, p. 843 - 851 (2007/10/02)

A series of mono- and disubstituted phenoxypropanolamines, structurally related to practolol and acebutolol, has been synthesized and tested for β-adrenoreceptor blocking activity. Structure-activity relationships are discussed. The reasons for the lack of activity of compounds 3n and 4n have also been examined. The results suggest that the negative electrostatic potential above the phenyl ring of phenoxypropanolamines is essential for binding activity and point to the presence of an electropositive residue in the β-adrenoreceptor binding site.

Ester of (alkynyloxy)-, (alkenyloxy)-, and (cyanoalkoxy) carbanilic acids and their use as herbicides
