Z and E N,N,N-trimethylhydrazonium iodides from α,β-unsaturated cyclohexenones are reduced in good yields into saturated aziridines or α,β-unsaturated aziridines by sodium bis (2-methoxy ethoxy) aluminium hydride.Partly hydrolysed hydride leads to reverse proportions of saturated and α,β-unsaturated aziridines.
