Piperazine, 1-methyl-4-(1-oxo-3,3-diphenylpropyl)-, also known as 1-methyl-4-(1-oxo-3,3-diphenylpropyl)piperazine or MDPV, is a synthetic cathinone derivative. It is a white crystalline powder with a molecular formula of C21H24N2O and a molecular weight of 316.43 g/mol. MDPV is a central nervous system stimulant that has been used recreationally for its euphoric and stimulant effects, similar to those of amphetamines and cocaine. It was first synthesized in the 1960s but gained notoriety in the 2000s as a designer drug. MDPV has been associated with a high potential for abuse and addiction, as well as severe health risks, including increased heart rate, vasoconstriction, and potential neurotoxicity. Due to its dangerous side effects and potential for harm, MDPV has been classified as a Schedule I controlled substance in the United States and is illegal in many countries worldwide.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 5636-79-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,6,3 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5636-79:
(6*5)+(5*6)+(4*3)+(3*6)+(2*7)+(1*9)=113
113 % 10 = 3
So 5636-79-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Dicationic intermediates involving protonated amides: Dual modes of reactivity including the acylation of arenes

Klumpp, Douglas A.,Rendy, Rendy,Zhang, Yun,Gomez, Alma,McElrea, Aaron

, p. 1789 - 1792 (2007/10/03)

Matrix presented. In the Bronsted superacid CF3SO 3H (triflic acid), amides are able to form reactive, dicationic electrophiles. It is shown that these dicationic intermediates participate in two distinctly different types of electrophilic reactions. The protonated amide increases the reactivity of an adjacent electrophilic group, and the protonated amide group itself shows enhanced reactivity arising from an adjacent cationic charge. In the latter case, several types of amides are even capable of reacting with benzene by Friedel-Crafts acylation.
