Usage

General Description

Dichlorodidodecylstannane is a chemical compound that consists of a stannane (tin hydrocarbyl) group with two chlorine atoms and a dodecyl group attached to the tin atom. It is primarily used as a stabilizer in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other plastics, helping to prevent degradation caused by heat, light, and oxidation. However, due to its potential toxicity and environmental concerns, its use has been restricted in certain regions. Exposure to dichlorodidodecylstannane has been linked to reproductive and developmental issues, as well as damage to the liver and kidneys.
