2,2',6,6'-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)-Δ4,4'-bi-4H-pyran is a complex organic compound characterized by its unique molecular structure. It features a central pyran ring system, which is a type of heterocyclic compound containing an oxygen atom in a six-membered ring. 2,2',6,6'-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)-Δ4,4'-bi-4H-pyran is further distinguished by the presence of four 4-methoxyphenyl groups, which are aromatic rings with a methoxy group (-OCH3) attached to the para position. The Δ4,4' notation indicates a specific geometric isomerism, suggesting that the two pyran rings are connected in a way that the 4,4' positions are involved in the linkage. 2,2',6,6'-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)-Δ4,4'-bi-4H-pyran is likely to be of interest in the field of organic chemistry, potentially for its electronic properties, stability, or reactivity, and could be a subject of study in materials science or pharmaceutical research.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 59155-89-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,9,1,5 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 59155-89:
(7*5)+(6*9)+(5*1)+(4*5)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*9)=154
154 % 10 = 4
So 59155-89-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Some Reactions of 4H-Pyrylium Salts with Tributylphosphine and with Tertiary Amines

Reynolds, G. A.,Chen, C. H.

, p. 1235 - 1237 (2007/10/02)

The phosphonium salt from tributylphosphine and 2,6-di(4-methoxyphenyl)pyrylium perchlorate (3) reacted with diisopropylethylamine in acetonitrile to give 2,2',6,6'-tetra(4-methoxyphenyl)-Δ4,4'-bi-4H-pyran in quantitative yield. The reaction of 3 and other 4H-pyrylium salts with tertiary amines gave 4H-pyrans.
