, (2018)
In this study, bis(diphenylphosphinemethyl)dimethyl silane (L1) and its palladium(II) halide complex, L1/PdCl2 (C1), were synthesized and characterized. Single-crystal X-ray analysis of the complex revealed bidentate coordination at the Pd cent
Chromium-Based Ethylene Tetramerization Catalysts Supported by Silicon-Bridged Diphosphine Ligands: Further Combination of High Activity and Selectivity
Zhang, Le,Meng, Xuejiao,Chen, Yanhui,Cao, Chengang,Jiang, Tao
, p. 76 - 79 (2017/01/17)
A series of silicon-bridged diphosphine (SBDP) ligands were synthesized and characterized. The Cr precatalyst supported by bis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)dimethylsilane achieved a high activity of 4.2×106 g (molCr h)?1 and a high selectivity of 78.44 % towards valuable 1-octene by using methylcyclohexane as the solvent at an ethylene pressure of 4.0 MPa and 45 °C. An intramolecular β-H transfer mechanism was proposed to explain the unequal molar proportions of cyclic C6 byproducts. The crystal structure data of two complexes proved that the SBDP system with a wide P?Cr?P bite angle could also exhibit superior performance in the tetramerization of ethylene.
Palladium complexes of phosphane-functionalised carbosilane dendrimers as catalysts in a continuous-flow membrane reactor

, p. 1085 - 1095 (2007/10/03)
Phosphane-functionalised carbosilane dendrimers 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 19 and 20 have been synthesised, and their palladium complexes have been used as catalysts in the allylic substitution reaction. The catalytic sites at the periphery of the dendrimer support are readily accessible to the substrate, which is reflected - also for the larger dendrimeric systems - in the high catalytic activity. Moreover, the higher generations are sufficiently large to be retained by a nanofilter, and dendrimeric catalysts 13 and 20 have been applied in a continuous-flow membrane reactor. The stability of the palladium complexes of the phosphane-functionalised dendrimers is crucial for application in a continuous process of this type, and appeared to be very sensitive to small changes in the dendrimeric structure. McKinstry, Lydia,Livinghouse, Tom
, p. 7655 - 7666 (2007/10/02)
A practical method for the synthesis of bisphosphines containing homochiral carbon backbones is described. This procedure entails sequential reaction of a homochiral ditosylate with the appropriate dialkyl- or diarylphosphine-borane anion followed by BH3 decomplexation mediated by HBF4*OMe2.

An eminently practical method for the synthesis of homochiral biphosphines is described. This procedure entails the sequential reaction of homochiral ditosylate with the appropriate dialkylphosphine-borane anion followed by BH3 decomplexation mediated by HBF4*OMe2.
Polymerization process

, (2008/06/13)
In the process of producing a linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon in the presence of a palladium salt, the anion of a strong non-hydrohalogenic acid, and a phosphine ligand, improved polymerization rates are obtained when employing a novel catalyst composition formed from a novel 1,3-bis(phosphino)-2-silapropane, which can be produced with high yield, wherein the 2-silapropane moiety is additionally substituted at the silicon atom with two hydrocarbyl substituents.
