The hydration of nitrosylruthenium acetylide complexes having a tris(pyrazol-1-yl)borate in the presence of protic acid was studied. The protonation of the monoacetylide complexes caused a hydration reaction, producing ketonyl complexes and unsaturated acyl complexes. Spectroscopic data confirmed the ketonyl complex and the α,β-unsaturated acyl complexes.
