Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 60163-79-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,0,1,6 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 60163-79:
(7*6)+(6*0)+(5*1)+(4*6)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*9)=103
103 % 10 = 3
So 60163-79-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Sonochemical synthesis of a new nano-plate lead(II) coordination polymer constructed of maleic acid

Aboutorabi, Leila,Morsali, Ali

, p. 2506 - 2511 (2010)

A new nano-sized lead(II) coordination polymer of maleic acid (H 2Mal), [Pb(u.7-Mal)]., (1), has been synthesized by sonochemical method and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, elemental analyses and IR spectroscopy. The compound 1 was structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Thermal stability of nano and bulk samples of compound 1 were studied and compared with each other. After calcination of nano-sized compound 1 at 600 ?C, pure phase microsized lead(II) oxide has been produced.

Syntheses, characterization and luminescent properties of two lead(II) fumarate metal-organic frameworks

It is of interest that the hydrous 3D metal-organic framework (MOF) {[Pb2(fum)2(H2O)4] · 2H2O}n (1) has been synthesized by the reaction of the fum dianion with the lead(II) ion (fum = fuma

Tribasic lead maleate and lead maleate: Synthesis and structural and spectroscopic characterizations

Bonhomme, Francois,Alam, Todd M.,Celestian, Aaron J.,Tallant, David R.,Boyle, Timothy J.,Cherry, Brian R.,Tissot, Ralph G.,Rodriguez, Mark A.,Parise, John B.,Nyman, May

, p. 7394 - 7402 (2008/10/09)

We report on the synthesis and structure of tribasic lead maleate hemihydrate ([Pb4O3]C2H2(CO 2)2·1/2H2O, TRIMAL) and lead maleate (PbC2H2(CO2)2, PBMAL). The structure of [Pb4O3]C2H2(CO2) 2·1/2H2O, solved ab initio from X-ray powder diffraction data, consists of infinite slabs of edge-sharing OPb4 tetrahedra, of composition [Pb4O3], running along the c axis and linked together into a three-dimensional network by tetradentate maleate anionic ligands. The structure of PbC2H2(CO 2)2, solved from single crystal diffraction data, is lamellar and contains double layers of heptacoordinated lead atoms, bonded only to the oxygen atoms of the maleate ligands. In both compounds, lead is in the oxidation state 2+ and the coordination polyhedra around the Pb2+ exhibit a hemidirected geometry and are strongly distorted as a result of the lone pair of electrons. The absence of protons on the acidic portion of the maleate moieties was confirmed by Raman spectroscopy and by 1H MAS and 1H-13C CP MAS NMR experiments. The two compounds were further characterized using chemical and thermogravimetric analyses.
