Fluorination of CF3SeCl with AgF leads to CF3Se(O)OH and CF3SeSeCF3 after reactions of the primary products with glass.Condensations of (CF3S)2NH and 2NH with CF3SeCl gave CF3SeN(SCF3)2, and 2NSeCF3, (CF3Se)2NSi(CH3)3, CF3SeN(H)Si(CH3)3, respectively.The reaction of FC(O)SCl with Hg(SeCF3)2 gave besides FC(O)SSeCF3 in smaller quantities also CF3SeSSeCF3.When a mixture of (CF3Se)2NH and Cl3S3N3 is heated to 50 deg C, CF3SeN=S=NSeCF3 is formed.The oxydation of CF3SeCF2X with ClF or m-chloroperbenzoic acid gave CF3Se(O)CF2X (X = F, Cl).Spectroscopical data of the substances are provided. - Key words: Fluorination of CF3SeCl, Reaction of CF3SeN(CH3)2 with HF, Syntheses of CF3SeN=S=NSeCF3 and CF3SeSSeCF3, Oxydation of CF3SeCF2X to CF3Se(O)CF2X, X = F,Cl, Spectroscopical Data

Trifluoromethylsulfinate esters and trifluoromethylsulfinamides result when trifluoromethylsulfinyl fluoride reacts with alcohols and amines. Mercaptans with CF3S(O)F do not yield the expected thiosulfinates but rather mixed disulfides. The methylene protons of CF3CH2OS(O)CF3 and CH3CH2OS(O)CF3 are magnetically nonequivalent giving rise to ABM3X3 nmr spectra. The new compounds CF3S(O)OCH3, CF3S(O)OCH2CH3, CF3S(O)OCH2CF3, CF3S(O)N(CH2CH3)2, CF3S(O)N(CH3)2, (CF3S(O))2NCH3, and CF3S(O)NH2 are slightly volatile, colorless liquids.
