, (2018/05/30)
Mesoionic pyrido[1,2-α]pyrimidinone derivatives containing a neonicotinoid moiety were designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their insecticidal activity. Some of the title compounds showed remarkable insecticidal properties against Aphis craccivora. Compound I13 exhibited satisfactory insecticidal activity against A. craccivora. Meanwhile, label-free proteomics analysis of compound I13 treatment identified a total of 821 proteins. Of these, 35 proteins were up-regulated, whereas 108 proteins were down-regulated. Differential expressions of these proteins reflected a change in cellular structure and metabolism.
3-Butyl-1-methylimidazolinium borohydride ([bmim][BH4])-a novel reducing agent for the selective reduction of carbon-carbon double bonds in activated conjugated alkenes

supporting information; scheme or table, p. 6518 - 6520 (2009/04/06)
A novel ionic reducing reagent, 3-butyl-1-methylimidazolium borohydride ([bmim][BH4]), was synthesized and successfully used for the selective reduction of carbon-carbon double bonds in conjugated alkenes as well as the α,β-carbon-carbon double bonds in highly activated α,β,γ,δ-unsaturated alkenes. The reagent can be regenerated and reused several times without losing its activity.
Reactions of N-Substituted Pyridinium Cations with Carbanions: 5,6,8,9-Tetrahydro-7-phenylbisbenzoacridine, a Superior Leaving Group

, p. 661 - 663 (2007/10/02)
N-Substituents are transferred from pyridinium cations to malonate, cyanoacetate , and acetoacetate carbanions: for alkyl substituents the pentacyclic derivatives (4) attain the required activity.
1-Substituted aralkyl imidazoles

, (2016/04/06)
This disclosure describes novel aralkyl imidazoles, their acid addition salts, their metal complex salts and processes for their preparation. These compounds possess biological activity and in particular are useful as systemic protectant/eradicant fungicidal agents for controlling plant diseases caused by fungi and as plant growth regulators. The metal complex salts of these compounds are particularly useful in their ability to reduce undesirable plant growth regulatory activity and phytotoxicity while retaining their ability for controlling plant diseases caused by fungi.
