Ali, Abdelselam,Fisara, Petr,Freemont, Jamie A.,Kyi, Stella,Meyer, Adam G.,Riches, Andrew G.,Sargent, Roger M.,Sawutz, David G.,Turner, Kathleen A.,Winzenberg, Kevin N.,Yang, Qi
scheme or table, p. 649 - 652 (2010/06/12)
A series of hydrazonotrifluorosulfonanilide derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for in vitro activity against the ectoparasites Ctenocephalides felis and Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Some compounds with excellent activity against tick were identified.
Synthesis and reactions of the first allenyl azo compounds
Banert, Klaus,Hagedorn, Manfred,Schlott, Jana
, p. 360 - 361 (2007/10/03)
Several propargylhydrazines were prepared and then oxidized by manganese dioxide to generate short-lived 1,1-diazenes, which produced novel allenyl azo compounds (8) through [2,3] sigmatropic rearrangement. Isomerization of 8 or nucleophilic addition to the title compounds lead to hydrazones as well as pyrazole derivatives.
Synthesis of N-propargylphenelzine and analogues as neuroprotective agents
Ling, Lei,Urichuk, Liana J.,Sloley,Coutts, Ronald T.,Baker, Glen B.,Shan, Jacqueline J.,Pang, Peter K.T.
, p. 2715 - 2717 (2007/10/03)
A series of N1- and N2-propargylphenelzine derivatives and analogues (1-7) was synthesized. In addition to their activity as monoamine oxidase inhibitors, two of the compounds, N1- and N2-propargylphenelzines (3 and 6), were found to be potent at preventing DSP-4-induced noradrenaline (NA) depletion in mouse hippocampus, suggesting that they have neuroprotective properties.
Investigation of the Potential of Molybdenum(VI) Hydrazido(2-) Complexes as Sources of Nitrenium Ions: Cleavage of the N-N Bond and Incorporation of the β-Nitrogen Group into Solvent Molecules
Baum, Marc M.,Smith, Edward H.
, p. 2513 - 2520 (2007/10/02)
Photolyis or thermolysis of bis(N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamato)bismolybdenum(VI) complexes in 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane results predominantly in transfer of the hydrazido group to the solvent with formation of dichloroacetohydrazides.A small amount of the corresponding dichloroacetamides are produced by N-N cleavage and N(R)Ph transfer. In contrast, the latter process dominates the reaction of dichlorobis(N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamato)mono-molybdenum(VI) complexes with silver nitrate in alcohols occuring concomitantly with ring methoxylation and nitration and N-nitrosation.Neither transfer of N(R)Ph appears to involve free nitrenium ions.
