620-27-9 Usage
General Description
.alpha.-Toluenearsonic acid, also known as 2-Amino-5-methylbenzene arsonic acid, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C7H9AsNO3. It is a derivative of arsenic acid and is commonly used as a herbicide and pesticide due to its ability to inhibit the growth of unwanted plants. .alpha.-Toluenearsonic acid is also used as a pigment in the manufacturing of paints and dyes. It is considered to be toxic to humans and the environment, and precautions should be taken when handling and disposing of this compound. Its use is regulated in many countries due to its potential harm to human health and the environment.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 620-27-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 6,2 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 620-27:
(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*0)+(2*2)+(1*7)=49
49 % 10 = 9
So 620-27-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Introducing chirality into hybrid clusters from an achiral ligand: Synthesis and characterization of polyoxomolybdates containing a benzylarsonate group
Liu, Meng-Shu,Yu, Wei-Dong,Yan, Qian-Wen,Yan, Jun
, p. 1947 - 1950 (2017)
Benzylarsonic acid as a flotation collector was introduced into polyoxometalate chemistry and two new hybrid clusters, [(C6H5CH2AsO3)2Mo5O15]4-(1and [(C6H5CH2AsO3)4-Mo12O34]4-(2a), were synthesized and characterized by chemical and spectral analysis. Self-assembly of 1a led to chiral crys-tals of compound 1, whereas compound 2 was found to be a racemic mixture of the “inverted-Keggin” hybrid cluster of 2a. Both compounds were charactsned.
