A series of chiral 2-aminocarboxylato complexes (1) (R1 = H, Me, Et, i-Pr; R2 = H, Me, Ph, OH, NH2, NHPh, (S)-CHMePh, CH2CO2Et) has been prepared from (η5-C5H5)(CO)3MoCl, the sodium salt of 2-oxocarboxylic acid and R2NH2 and spectroscopically characterized (IR, 1H NMR).Diastereomers of 1 have been obtained with (S)-1-phenylethylamine as amine component.
