Phosphinic isocyanate, diphenyl-, also known as diphenylphosphinic isocyanate, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C13H11NOP. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. Phosphinic isocyanate, diphenyl- is primarily used as a reagent in organic synthesis, particularly in the formation of phosphorus-containing compounds and as a coupling agent in the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Due to its reactivity, it is essential to handle diphenylphosphinic isocyanate with care, as it can be harmful if inhaled, ingested, or absorbed through the skin.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6779-62-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,7,7 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6779-62:
(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*7)+(3*9)+(2*6)+(1*2)=140
140 % 10 = 0
So 6779-62-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Extraction Properties of Diphenylposphorylureas with Aliphatic ω-Nitrogen-Containing Substituents

Baulina, T. V.,Borisova, N. E.,Brel’, V. K.,Goryunov, E. I.,Goryunova, I. B.,Lizunov, A. V.,Safiulina, A. M.

, p. 731 - 739 (2021/06/01)

Abstract: Extraction of lanthanides and actinides from nitric acid solutions with N-(diphenylphosphoryl)-N'-n-propylureas containing imidazolyl, diethylamino, pyrid-2-yl, 2-oxopyrrolidino fragments in the ω position of the alkyl substituent has been studied. It has been shown that Ho(III) and Yb(III) related to the yttrium subgroup of lanthanides are extracted much better than La(III) and Nd(III) related to the cerium subgroup. N-(Diphenylphosphoryl)urea containing ω-(2-oxopyrrolidino)propyl fragment at the terminal nitrogen atom shows the best extraction properties. This dependence has been theoretically explained by modeling complexation because the coordination of f-block element ion with amide oxygen atom is more preferable

Catalytic synthesis of phosphoryl isocyanates

Goryunov,Molchanova,Goryunova,Baulina,Petrovskii,Mikhailovskaya,Buyanovskaya,Nifant'ev

, p. 2626 - 2628 (2007/10/03)

A general efficient method for the synthesis of phosphoryl isocyanates was developed. The method involves reactions of phosphoryl chlorides with sodium cyanate in the presence of anhydrous magnesium chloride as a catalyst.

Olefination reactions through phosphazenes

Perez,Ortiz

, p. 2029 - 2030 (2007/10/03)

The first synthesis of di-, tri- and tetrasubstituted alkenes through reaction of lithium P-diphenyl(alkyl)(N-carboxymethyl)phosphazenes with aldehydes and ketones is reported.
