Method for synthesizing methyl cedryl ether

The invention discloses a method for synthesizing methyl cedryl ether from cedrol. Firstly, the cedrol and a tertiary butanol alkali metal salt are reacted in toluene as a solvent in a reactive distillation column to synthesize a cedrol alkali metal salt; and then the alkali metal salt reacts with methyl chloride in methyl tert-butyl ether to synthesize the methyl cedryl ether. The method has theadvantages of safety, environmental protection, high yield and good quality.
