Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 686-61-3 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 6,8 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 686-61:
(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*6)+(2*6)+(1*1)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 686-61-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and characterization of novel Bis-arsenic complexes

Arabuli,Matoga,Lekishvili

scheme or table, p. 2999 - 3002 (2012/02/02)

p-Phenylenebis[diethyl(iso-propyl)arsonium] tetra-N- thiocyanatocobaltate(II) cationic-anionic complex have been synthesized and studied. The X-ray structure of +[(i-Pr)2(Et) 4As2(Ph)]+[Co(NCS)4]2- have been determined. Crystals belong to the tetragonal system, space group P-42(1)m) with a = 14.4930(14)?, b = 14.4930(14)?, c = 8.7090(19)?; α= 90°, β= 90°, γ= 90°. The structures were refined to an R value of 0.063 from 4082 observed reflections. The As atom is coordinated tetrahedraly to the substituents as well as the anion has a tetrahedral configuration. The synthesis and IR spectral characterization of the complex compounds are described.
